It’s that time of the year again that we’re starting the countdown for Christmas. Except for the plans for the Christmas gifts though, it’s the perfect timing to organize the online presence of your business for the holiday season.
There are many ways to benefit from the Christmas spirit, and there are even more ways to reward your fans for their loyalty. No matter what type of business you have, here are some tips on how to create an ‘online Christmas plan’ until January:
- Launch a special content calendar. Start to craft the posts for the whole month, getting even more into the spirit day by day. The hashtag #christmas is already trending on Twitter, why should you stay behind?
- Prepare evergreen content. Apart from the special content you’ll prepare for Christmas, it’s a good idea to create some pieces of evergreen content, for the days that you’ll be busy with food, gifts and Santa. No need to be too ‘promoting’, but also no need to be full into the spirit. Just think of what could grab the reader’s attention.
- Give your fans a gift. Thank your fans for their loyalty during the year and give them a present. No need to be a big offer, it’s the thought that counts.
- Create special graphics. This is not obligatory, but why not create a couple of new graphics on the Christmas spirit? It’s an easy way to show that your page is always current. How about a new Cover Photo?
- Use Pinterest. If you have a Pinterest account, then it’s a good idea to create a new special board with offers, sales, gift ideas, or even lovely Christmas pictures. Pinterest users tend to spend more online and it’s the perfect time of the year to take advantage of it. Even if you don’t have something to sell, you’ll still increase your reach.
- Be personal. Why not spark a conversation with your fans sharing Christmas stories? Time to show your personal side of your brand. After all, it’s not just about business!
