If you are like me and you have so many bookmarks in your browser that it takes several scrolls of the mouse wheel just to glance over them all, then why not Pin those web pages? Pinterest isn’t only for recipes and craft ideas. You can have a board specifically for technical tips or sites related to any interests you have. Pinterest quickly helps you see why you saved a site, and organizing couldn’t be easier.

Does this world of pinned items present opportunities for your business? Yes! Any pinned item which gets re-pinned is viewed by a new group of followers who in turn repin it and it just goes on and on from there. Something unique and interesting that makes a person go “Ah!” is bound to get passed around infinitely. Making sure that item has a direct link to your website is a sure way to drive traffic to see what your business is all about.

So while you’re hanging out on Pinterest collecting the pages that you want to look back at later for inspiration, create something that will highlight your business and put it out there. Try a simple diagram or highlight a special offer. Post a video that gives a glimpse of the personality behind your business so that people can get to “know” you. Post helpful pins that a potential customer will appreciate. Remember, the Pinterest audience is large so whatever you put out there is going to reach unexpected places.

Pinterest is the place where we can not only find resources for our business but also share those resources with followers of our business and potential customers. So find it, or create it, and “pin it” for a true win-win!
