It’s spring so why not spruce up your social media accounts? There are some simple things that will help you keep your social media profiles fresh that won’t take up too much of your time.

Update your Bio: It’s important to keep your About section or Bio up to date. Did you add to your skills? Add a new service? Did your office hours change? It’s also a good time to check all your links to make sure they are still working.

Check your Share buttons: Make sure all of your share buttons on your website, blog, and different social media sites are still working correctly. Remove any buttons that are not being used or try out new ones.

Are you using all the features available to you? Check to make sure that no new features have come out that will benefit your brand. You would be surprised at how many new things come out each month that you might be missing. Posse Social Media keeps you up to date via their Facebook page so make sure you are following us.

Do you have any dormant accounts? Either shut it down or start using it again. Neglected accounts won’t bring you many followers.

Check your settings: Privacy terms and conditions for different social networks change often. Double-check that the photos and status updates you post are being seen by as many as possible. Also check your third-party apps that have access to your profile and remove or revoke permissions if you are not using them anymore (For Facebook make sure you scroll down and click ‘Show All’ some might be hiding).

Adjust your notifications: Are you drowning in notifications or not getting enough heads up? Play around with your notification settings to see what works best for you.

Update photos: Have you changed your pictures lately? People love to see new things and if they see your photo has changed it might entice them to click on your profile to see what else might be different.

Update your lists and groups: For Twitter you can organize people you are following into lists. This will let you see tweets from those who are most important to you. Check your Pinterest boards as well as your photo albums and other areas to make sure they are grouped appropriately.
