Understanding Personal and Group Setting Adjustments

When you need to adjust your personal setting for the new group setting, understanding how is the first step. Be sure and click the edit button located at the top of the page, and then if and when you want to be notified when one of your friends or colleagues posts or makes a comment, or where you have posted. (Make sure to spread the word around on how to do this as well; some people don’t want to be notified every time someone makes a comment while others want every last detail).

Another possibility is to check or uncheck any email notifications that you want sent to you. Figuring all this out might take some time, but after that, click on the save changes button. A good suggestion is to unselect any email notifications, that way you have control of the situation and your inbox won’t get out of hand! Just use the built-in application that Facebook has provided, for any of your personal requirements that you might like instead.

How to Edit Notifications

Editing your notifications for any personal settings is as follows:

  • Groups profile image- upload it
  • Privacy setting (change from closed to secret, an example)
  • Have only admins (group) approve new members
  • Unique email address needs to be created—this is required for any type of images or email texts needed within the group (group wall).

Note: Go on GoldMasterMind@groups.facebook.com when searching for unique names. That way if yours is taken then you can select another unique name that might fit your group better.

Other Benefits of Facebook Secret Groups and Businesses

By doing all this you can upload photos, create posts, create group documents, or add links. Plus, you and your fellow workers can have conversations! By using these types of methods, all your work and communicating becomes private within these walls. Although we all know that the internet isn’t all that private, using the Facebook secret group as far as I can tell it works well in keeping information private with the “secret groups” strategy. Only those who want to be notified and whom you wish notified will know what’s going on within your Facebook secret group.

Our company works within the “secret group method” and it works well within each group that is assigned to their group. It keeps us focused and organized, so each of us knows exactly where the project is that we are working on. With so much going on at one time we were able to keep things running fairly smoothly with our chat groups, any posting that needed to be done, and uploading several images that we needed. We became a very bonded group, and it really helped us all complete the project on time and we had fun doing it.
