Here is a little bit of info on Nicole and her business…
I started this business last August with opening my Etsy shop, killprettyplease.etsy.com, I’m a young stay at home mom, I’ve been a crafter for years and finally thought I’d throw my hat into the ever growing Etsy handmade sence. Low and behold it actually took off! I’ve been doing steady business, lots of sales, views, likes, circles, favorites, etc. I strated with a variaty of women’s accessories and what I dubbed my String Theory infinity scarf is what really took off, so I’ve really just been concentrating on that as well as a few other scarf designs. I’m not the first or the last person to make this type of scarf, however, I seemed to have found my niche by making hand dyed ones in an ombre style. As far as design philosphy, I suppose relativley simple, neat, uniform looking. I choose yellow, grey, black, and white as my main branding colors as well as the same font. I created all my hang tags that go on my items as well as my business cards from vista print and my header on Etsy in Picnik of all places, which moves to Google + in 3 days! I used Rascunho Errado font and the little bird on all my branding. All my items are photographed against a white wall, on a wooden hanger, using natural light. Simple, uniform, seems to work for me. I put alot of fashion, beauty stuff on my fb page, lots of Pinterest stuff, I consider myself pretty “on trend” and not at all your typical Christmas, church, craft show, kind of deal. More of a Chicago Craft Mafia style crafter.
